In recent years, I have been able to develop the following technologies for trucks, cars, ocean-going vessels and power plants in a leading position and secure them via patents:

  • SCR (high and low pressure)
  • NO-, HC-, NH3- and methane oxidation
  • DPF and SDPF

In the area of engine development, the following tasks were undertaken:

  • Development of ECU  functions
  • Operating engine test benches including measuring equipment and automation
  • Wear detection and prediction
  • Engine calibration

The work included  

  • Optimisation of complex overall systems with brute force and ML
  • Automatic extraction of metadata, such as author, abstract, etc., from scientific presentations and papers using a combination of pattern recognizers, text analysis and database queries

Research projects were initiated and carried out with the support of the following organisations and institutions:

// Laboratory
Conceptual design, planning, installation and operation of laboratories for the development and investigation of catalysts and active surfaces. 

For this purpose, test rigs were developed for activity measurement and ageing in house. 

The following techniques were used for characterisation: SEM/EDX, FTIR, XRD, XRF, BET, TGA with FTIR coupling.
